The Chairman of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Aniefiok Nkom, has warned residents against dumping refuse into drainage channels, saying the practice is a major cause of blocked gutters, flooding and the destruction of lives and property.
Nkom gave the warning on Monday during the July edition of the council’s Monthly Covenant Service, themed “There Shall Be No Adversary,” drawn from 1 Kings 5:2–5, at the Ikot Ekpene Council Hall.
