The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has dismissed a viral message circulating on social media alleging the influx of Boko Haram fighters into parts of Southern and North-Central Nigeria, including Lagos, Ilorin, and Rivers State.
The false alert also claimed that key holders embedded with tracking devices were being distributed in public places.

According to a statement on Friday, 21 November 2025, signed by Head, Media and Publicity, EFCC, Dele Oyewale, the story, contrived to portray the arrest of Oddiri “on the orders and petition of the EFCC chairman over alleged diversion of funds intended for a community that Moses has been advocating for over the years,” is a falsehood taken too far.

After a series of verifications and consultations with stakeholders from the four federating villages, the land was duly approved by the late Obi and allocated to Linas International Limited, a company owned by Ned Nwoko.
